The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Jerusalem Film Workshop - a six week program for young filmmakers to receive hands-on film education, travel throughout Israel, and create a documentary film. One lucky candidate will be chosen to participate from Atlanta, all expenses paid, with the exception of roundtrip air travel to and from Tel Aviv.
The program takes place from June 14 - July 25, 2017 in Jerusalem with housing in the dormitory of the Hebrew University. Participants will join other young, aspiring filmmakers from around the world as they gain comprehensive knowledge of film production and expand their professional network. Over the course of six weeks, participants will develop and advance their cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and directing skills. They will also have the opportunity to create a documentary film while using the tools and equipment provided, accompanied by guidance from JFW teachers and mentors. The films produced will premiere at the Jerusalem Film Festival and will also screen at the 2018 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival.
So, what is JWF looking for?
● Advanced cinema or film student
● Ages 19-27
