The ballots have been tabulated and the 2017 AJFF Audience Awards presented by the Helen Marie Stern Memorial Fund have been announced. AJFF is proud to reveal our 2017 Audience Award winners for Best Narrative, Best Documentary, and Best Short.
Best Narrative: Fanny's Journey

Best Short: Joe's Violin
Across generations and backgrounds, a musical instrument unites a Holocaust survivor and a Bronx schoolgirl. Tribeca Film Festival Best Documentary Short nominee.
These films will also be screened on our Day of Encores, on Sunday, March 5, at GTC Merchants Walk Cinema as well as a selection of other must-see highlights from this year’s festival.
